ANI/DNIS/ISDN - Display Telephones and Consoles

DPNSS Display Information Element Support

During a DPNSS call, any End-to-End Message (EEM), messages containing line identity or SIS (Supplementary Information String) text codes are used to update the display of the end device with the information contained in the message.

DPNSS Connected Number Information Element Support

On receipt of a Call Connected Message (CCM), containing line identity or SIS text codes, the displays at each endpoint device are updated with the received information.

ANI and DNIS

Display of ANI/ DNIS (CLID) information varies according to which COS options have been enabled, the numbers (ANI, DNIS, both, or none) sent on the trunk, and the call state (either ringing or answered). The tables below illustrate how these variables function.

IP Console applications display ANI digits, DNIS digits, or trunk information after a call is answered depending on the information sent with the call.

NOTE: IP telephone displays differ in ACD environments. For more information, see ANI/DNIS/ISDN in Automatic Call Distribution.
